01 — What this is

A draft, left for the trade it belongs to

AlreadyBuilt is a small practice of making unofficial proposal sites for local businesses. Cirencester and the Cotswolds first; further only if the same approach still makes sense.

If a trade has no site — or one that has gone quiet — we put a draft together from what is already public: a name, a phone number, an address, the work they are known for. Nothing about the business is invented. The page is a proposal, not a claim to speak for them.

If you have found a draft of your own business, that is all it is. It is not your official website. It is not affiliated with you unless you choose to take it on.

02 — How a demo is made

Public facts, then a real page

    Public information only

    Directories, filings, a listed phone number — things a passer-by could already find. No private records, and no made-up reviews.

    A distinctive static site

    One carefully made page, built to feel like that trade, not a template with the name swapped in.

  3. 03

    Hosted on a subdomain

    So it can be looked at quietly. Every page is marked unofficial, and kept out of search indexes.

  4. 04

    Offered once

    If it is useful, a one-time transfer. If it is not, leave it. Nobody is chased.

03 — Where we start

Close to home, on purpose

The first demos are for trades in and around Cirencester. A small area is easier to look at carefully, and easier to stay honest in.

We do not invent businesses for this page, and we do not parade other people’s drafts as clients. If a proposal exists, it lives on its own subdomain, with the same unofficial notice you see here.

04 — Claiming

One payment. Then it is yours.

£500–£800

Typical one-time transfer, depending on the work. No monthly fee from us.

If a draft looks right, you can take it on. That payment covers the site as it stands and the handover — files, and the hosting arrangement, so you can keep it or change it.

First contact is a short, plain email. We do not cold-call, and we do not write to an owner until a draft has been looked over. If it is not useful, there is nothing to do.
